How does it work?
Every project is different. We customize our services to work around your specific challenges. Usually, after discussing your needs with one of our customer service representatives, they will design any necessary training and set up a communication system and schedule to make sure your needs are met.
How do you ensure quality?
All of our workers have been pre-screened for the skills they need to take on a task. With every new project, the assignments are checked by a quality control specialist before they are returned completed to you. If something isn't completed to your satisfaction, let us know and we will correct it for you free of charge.
Is my information secure?
Because we are working in micro-tasks, where large jobs are broken into small chunks so that many people are working on completing your task at the same time, no one person ever sees all of the information or data at once. This is one measure of security. We also ask our workers to fill out non-disclosure agreements when working on sensitive projects. In special cases, we can also offer two-step verification and inscription for documents and data before they are sent to our workers, and for the return sending of completed documents. If workers are connecting into an online database for data entry, we recommend providing them with restricted logins, that will allow them to access only the portion of your data that they need to complete the task.
Who is doing the work?
Our mission is to provide work to refugees and displaced people who have limited work opportunities due to legal restrictions in their host countries. Most of our workers have a high school diploma or higher, and all have access to reliable internet.
What is a micro-task?
A micro-task is any job that has been broken down into smaller jobs. This allows multiple people to work on a given task at the same time, allowing the job to be completed more quickly. Microtasks also tend to be completed more accurately because the required focus time is typically 5-10 min rather than hours.
Here is an example:
Let's say you wanted to transcribe a 60 min. video clip. If you have just one person working on this, it will probably take 2-3 hours to transcribe.
